Moving Pieces
On Sunday morning the Automatic Identification System - AIS - shows the heavy lift vessel Xiang Yun Kou has departed Seward. Crews spent the past week securing Shell's disabled Noble Discoverer to the deck.
The destination seems to be Jinhae, South Korea, with a estimated arrival date of March 23rd. But a lot will depend on seas and weather across the North Pacific.
Meanwhile, Xiang Yun Kou's sister ship, Xiang Rui Kou, is steaming across the East China Sea north of Taiwan, en-route to Dutch Harbor to pick up the CDM Kulluk.
