Port Townsend, Today.
I don't get it.
Unbelievably, in this "Joy to the World" Holiday Season, I received complaints
- that many of my Blog articles are too long
- I should host a separate blog for "political satire," apparently reacting to my observations on Palin, considered inappropriate for my railroad blog.
What pluck!
My response? Well, there is no rational explanation for an irrational criticism that a blog article is "too long."

As to my "political satire," let's put a pencil to it:

That amounts to 2.39% of my writings.
Which means four-hundred and eighty-nine articles I have written, re-written and posted were rail related, reflecting literally hundreds and hundreds of man-hours doing the research, writing, re-writing, spell checking, re-writing, scanning and retouching photos, phone calls, re-writing and web hosting, required to insure I present free of charge, interesting, worth while, and accurate articles for your edification and enjoyment.
So to complain about 2.39% of my writing?
I don't get it!

I like your long researched articles.... I am one of the silent majority, and I thought I would break the silence!

Just keep on doing what you're doing. It's your blog after all. Besides...complaints just mean you have an audience! Cheers!
Like HB said, it's your blog. You choose the material. I choose to subscribe because I enjoy the material and get something from it. Posting your views and opinions is encouraged from my point of view so please keep it up at the pace you feel is necessary.
"Illegitimi non carborundum" (If I post this as a comment, will one of your audience then complain that Latin is a dead language?) Refuse to be pigeon-holed as a railroad blog, Robert. Refuse to succumb to the sound-bite, attention-span-of-a-distracted-gnat mentality of many online. Keep researching, keep posting, and indeed "Joy to the world" today and always,
A loyal Canadian reader,
Eric
Besides, the only place there should be pluck this time of year is a festive, basted and oven-baked bird.
