Port Townsend, January 1st, 2009. Finally we are just days away from ending eight years of the worst that a country can endure! I am grateful that I survived that near fatal heart episode last June, to see it happen!

Soon we'll be removing the trash from the White House. We are severely damaged financially, morally, ethically, physically. We have a long recovery ahead to regain our self-esteem, especially with our foreign neighbors who have been simply disgusted to witness the near destruction of our great country.

I can remember as a young man, asking "How could one man (Hitler) cause such a disruption and chaos in the world?" Well, we've certainly had our wake up call!

My best friend e-mailed me today, bubbling with joy, happiness. She said that once again she is proud to be an American!

Happy New Year! Indeed!

Happy New Year Robert

Thanks, Bill! The top photo in the previous entry was Kenworth's attempt at "luxury" buses. I believe it was built in their old factory down on Mercer Street in Seattle!

Happy New Year from the Milwaukee Blog too Robert. 2008 had quite a mix of things to be thankful and things that we wish didn't happen - I wonder what 2009 will bring?
